I spent years leading in a role I genuinely loved, until gradually, it became one I dreaded. Sixty-five to seventy hour weeks for months at a time. A hospital room, waiting on test results, wondering how I’d gotten there. The work still mattered. I had just drifted so far from the part of it that gave me energy.
Finding my way back took reflection, honesty, and a framework I now use with the leaders I coach: the 4R process: Reflect. Release. Realign. Reignite.
